Parenting styles


Ignore neglecting

  • Authoratarian - set the rules and expect kids to follow without questioning or they are punished.Don't feel it necessary to give reasons. Impact - children grow up lacking self esteem and socially awkward
  • Permissive - very attentive to children. Indulge and avoid confrontation at all costs. Children grow up with low self control, often get in trouble with authority and perform poorly in school
  • Authoritative - manage balance well. Keen interest in child and highly responsive, while maintaining parental authority and demand high standards. Everyone in family has a say - rule of law prevails. develop in child - the sense of personal responsibility and intrinsic motivation.

  • Eat dinner together as a family - 
  • Read together - sometime as family reading time. Read to kids, or they read themselves.
  • Travel together
  • Picnic together
  • Plan together - shares the ownership with kids
  • Photobook
  • Cook together
  • Scheduled family game nights
  • Discover science together
